PAVE Europe Member Meeting, ZalaZONE, Hungary

On March 14th, PAVE Europe’s Member Meeting hosted at AVL ZalaZONE Proving Ground offered a profoundly enriching experience focused on the verification and validation of autonomous vehicles.

We were honored to host this extraordinary event, bringing together brilliant minds from across the autonomous driving ecosystem.

ZalaZONE – operated by our member AVL – is a brand-new, 250-hectar vehicle proving ground in the west of Hungary specifically designed for the development and validation tests of autonomous and electric vehicles and also allowing for the dynamics and durability tests of conventional vehicles.

Our members had the opportunity to visit the proving ground and the AV testing facilities operated by AVL in collaboration with TÃœV Rheinland Group.

Furthermore, our Working Groups convened to make substantial progress in vital areas such as fostering trust in autonomous technology, addressing insurance concerns, enhancing Public Transportation, optimizing shared mobility, streamlining logistics, and improving goods transportation.

Heartfelt gratitude goes to our member AVL for orchestrating and hosting this inspiring gathering!

We extended a warm welcome to new members joining our growing community, gaining valuable insights into their plans within the AV space.

Distinguished guests, Gerhard Menzel from the Austrian Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology and Luciana Iorio from UNECE Global Forum for Road Traffic Safety (WP.1), enriched our discussions with their expertise and visionary perspectives.
