WASHINGTON, DC – Partners for Automated Vehicle Education today announced the launch of its Academic Advisory Council, a panel of leading academicians who will help PAVE achieve its mission of promoting fact-based public discussion about automated vehicles.

“PAVE’s academic partners have expertise in broad subject areas — from engineering to public health —  that are critical to building our transportation future,” said PAVE Executive Director Tara Andringa. “We are honored to be teaming with such an accomplished group of scholars whose guidance will help us to raise public understanding about AV technology and its potential benefits.”

The Academic Advisory Council will provide PAVE members with advice and recommendations on matters related to AV technology and its societal effects, and the academics will collaborate with PAVE members on tasks such as research, evaluation, and polling.
